Not the Marquis de Lafayette

If you wish to learn French, be aware that it is not just a matter of replacing letters or sounds in English with another alphabet, like a substitution code. I believe a similar situation may exist for other languages.
Also, as you make your way in the world, never express that the language of the Flemish is Phlegm. That is incorrect, and will expose you as somewhat unlearned.
You can trust me on these. I am not Trevor. Nor am I the Marquis de Lafayette, who I understand could speak French, while he was alive.
